I love a signature cocktail for any holiday, but there's something about Halloween that brings out my creative 'mixology' side. This Dracula's Kiss cocktail is easy to mix up, while still delivering on the Halloween vibe. My favorite part - that spicy little bite after the first sip that warms you up and makes this drink a true hit.

You can choose to serve this without the vampire teeth ice cube - but why would you?

My favorite part of this Dracula's Kiss cocktail - the vampire teeth ice cube! It makes this cocktail an absolute stunner, and will be Insta-worthy with friends and guests in no time! And when the pumpkins are mushy and the candy is gone, you can still serve up this tasty cocktail all year long - maybe just hold back on the teeth. ;)

Keep reading below for how to make these ice cubes!

Dracula's Kiss Cocktail

Ingredients (makes 1 cocktail)

  • 2 oz pomegranate juice

  • 1 1/2 - 2 oz silver tequila

  • juice of 1/2 a lime

  • 2 - 3 slices fresh jalapeño

  • 1 - 2 oz blood orange soda

  • Garnish - black sea salt, vampire teeth ice cubes (see below)

Mix it Up

Prep your glass

  1. Rim a wide highball or juice glass with lime juice, using a small sliver of lime.

  2. Run the rim of the glass through the black sea salt to coat most of the rim.

  3. Add your vampire teeth ice cube to the glass. Set aside.

Prepare the drink

  1. Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Add the pomegranate juice, tequila, jalapeño slices and lime.

  2. Shake vigorously to chill well and incorporate the oil from the jalapeño.

  3. Pour the cocktail into the prepared glass.

  4. Pour the blood orange soda over the ice cube. Stir gently.

Dare to take a sip and experience Dracula's Kiss!

Making the Vampire Teeth Ice Cube

  1. Using the novelty vampire teeth that connect the top and bottom teeth, wash the teeth thoroughly with soap and water.

  2. Using a large format/sized ice cube tray (the ones often used for bourbon drinks), place the teeth in the tray, wedging them in so that they're firmly in the tray, but still having the top part of the teeth slightly above the top edge.

  3. Add water to the ice cube tray, leaving just a bit of space at the top. Place in the freezer.

  4. OPTIONAL: a couple of hours after they've been in the freezer, add a drop or two of red gel food coloring for a 'bloody' effect. (Note - the red can stain - be careful!)

  5. Leave in the freezer until they're completely frozen through.

These ice cubes are also great for Old Fashioned, Manhattans, spritzes, and any drink where the ice cube will take center stage.
