A refreshing summertime cocktail that pairs perfectly with garden parties, summer breezes and sitting poolside with friends!

This cocktail is a bit of a conundrum. You see, if you research the Black-Eyed Susan cocktail, you do NOT get the same recipe every time. Some call for rum, others bourbon. One recipe includes elderflower liqueur, another vodka. Then there are the juices - sometimes pineapple, other times orange. What they all work to achieve is a fresh, bright-yellow color and bold flavor. The same way a Black-eyed Susan brings bright, bold color to summertime gardens.
So many recipes for the Black-Eyed Susan - but this one brings the freshest summertime flavors to your glass!
What everyone does agree on is the fact it originated as a cocktail served at the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course (horse racing has all the best cocktails, don't they?), beginning in the 1970s. I'm choosing this recipe to share because it includes peach schnapps - another sweet summertime flavor that reaches its peak about the same time Black-Eyed Susans begin to bloom.
Mix this up and enjoy all summer long!
